Mr. Amir Muhammad Khan

High Commissioner to Rwanda, Kigali

Joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1996. During his career,Mr. Amir has served at various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, and various Pakistan’s Diplomatic Missions Abroad.
Before assuming his current assignment as Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Rwanda, Kigali. Mr. Amir has served on assignments Abroad as Third Secretary, Pakistan Embassy Damascus, Syria – 2001-2003, Second Secretary, Pakistan Embassy Kuwait – 2005-2008, First Secretary/Consular, Pakistan Embassy Stockholm, Sweden – 2009-2012, Consular, Pakistan Embassy Lisbon, Portugal – 2013-2015, Minister/Cd’A (a.p), Pakistan High Commission Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – 2015-2019.
Mr. Amir has also served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Desk Officer (Africa) -1998, Desk Officer (Middle East) – 2000, Deputy Director (India) – 2004,Protocol Officer (Policy) – 2004-2005. Director (SEAP) – 2012-2013 and Director General (PP&PD) – 2020-2021.
Mr. Amir has a master degree in Political Science from Peshawar University. He speaks Urdu,English, Arabic and Pushto.
