Mr Sahebzada Ahmed Khan
Mr. Sahebzada Ahmed Khan was born in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1963.
holds a Master’s degree in ‘International Politics & Public Policy’ from SAIS, Johns Hopkins University, United States.
He joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1989.
Prior to joining the Foreign Service, he graduated from Pakistan Military Academy in 1983, and served in an Armoured Corps Regiment, till the rank of Captain.
At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, Mr. Khan worked on following positions: Assistant Chief of Protocol, Assistant Director (UN), Assistant Director (SAARC), Director (General Services) Director General (Foreign Minister’s Office), Director General (Economic Coordination & OIC), Director General (Middle East) and Additional Foreign Secretary/Chief of State Protocol.
Diplomatic assignments abroad include:
India: Vice-Consul, Mumbai
Saudi Arabia: Vice-Consul, Jeddah.
Myanmar: First Secretary, Yangon.
Norway: Counsellor, Oslo.
Canada: Consul General, Toronto.
United States: Ambassador & Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, New York.
United Kingdom: High Commissioner for Pakistan, London.
Mr. Khan assumed the charge of Ambassador of Pakistan to the Republic of Cuba, on 21st December, 2018. He is also non-resident Ambassador/High Commissioner of Pakistan to Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, Republic of Haiti, Republic of Honduras and Republic of Nicaragua.
He is an ardent golfer.
He is married and has two sons.
