The Ambassador

H.E. AMBASSADOR SAJID BILAL

His Excellency Sajid Bilal assumed duties as Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt on 3 March 2021.
Ambassador Bilal is a career diplomat who joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1995.
He went on to serve Pakistan in various diplomatic positions in Tunis, Vienna, Tehran, and Washington. His last overseas assignment was as Ambassador of Pakistan to Iraq.
Ambassador Bilal served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamabad as Section Officer (1995-1999), Deputy Director (2002-2005), Director (2010-2013), and Director General (2016-2018).
Before assuming charge in Cairo, he was serving in Islamabad as Additional Foreign Secretary.
Ambassador Bilal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. He is married.
