VACANCY:                            Social Secretary-cum-Translator

Age:                                          From 20- 35 years (candidates with exceptional skills may be considered for relaxation)

Local Scale:                             07

Salary:                                    € 2,112.94

Social security:                          To be paid directly to Belastingdienst by Employer based on their calculation.

Contract:                                 Temporary

Maximum Contract:               One years (extendable by mutual consent)

Probation:                               Six months

Termination:                           One month notice by each side

Educational requirements       Minimum 14-16 years education from a recognized University/institute of repute.

Experience                              Minimum three years working experience, preferably as Social/Executive /Private Secretary

Language/Interpretation skills

Fluency in English (R,W,S)

Dutch is essential (R,W,S)

Fluency in any other UN official languages will be a plus point

Computer/management skills

Expert computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel and other related programs.

Experience in office administration and event management.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Detailed Job Description (Charter of Duties

The successful candidate will work for a period of one year as an integral part of Ambassador’s office. Some important duties are as fallows but are not limited to that;

  1. Extending /receiving invitations on behalf of the Ambassador by Phone/Fax/Email.
  2. Handling of official social media accounts
  3. Managing incoming/outgoing phone calls  
  4. To receive the high level guests.
  5. Translation from Dutch to English and English to Dutch
  6. Preparation daily news summary
  7. Provide basic administrative support to the HOM Office including assistance as requested with correspondence, filing, travel arrangements and all appointments.
  8. Create up to date database for the Ambassador’s senior level contacts.
  9. Coordinate with associations/organizations in line with the current guidelines/SOPs of the government of Pakistan.
  10. Coordinate with other Embassies for arranging different events.
  11. Management of invitations, RSVPs, prepare guest lists, table cards, menus and table plans in advance of events at the Embassy and Embassy Residence.
  12. Managing refreshments for Ambassador’s office.
  13. Any other duty assigned by the Management of the Embassy.
